Luckily Keap has a solution for that as well!
Are you looking for a way to start your first email campaign? If so, this blog is perfect! You'll learn about every step needed in order and get an idea on what it takes.
There are several options to choose from which campaign you are going to start with. For example, you can start with a welcome series of emails or a ‘get to know you’ campaign.
It is essential for your customers to feel like they know, trust and like the brand.
In these series of emails it’s important to basically introduce yourself and your business and what they can expect from you.
Simple automation from scratch
We are going to show you how to set up a simple easy automation from scratch, without using a automation template.

When you are on your homepage, go to the sidebar and go to automation - easy. Click on the plus and you select easy automation.
It will bring you to the actual campaign. Start with the automation name, as example Welcome Series.

The following thing to do is, select a trigger. In this case you can click on a tag is added. This is the easiest way for this campaign.

After choosing the trigger, you have to select an action which is going to be send an email.
You get a couple of suggestions that Keap has already made but you can also choose to start with a blank email.
Start with the first email
To make it easy, you can start with a blank email. In this email you can thank the customer for anything, buying a product or just for opting in.

Always write a title and a subject because when you come back later, you know exactly what the email is about.

Let’s start the email with Hi Contactperson. You can easily merge the contact data into the email using a merge field.
If you have finished with that, start the email with a exciting message. Introduce yourself and let them know you are happy they are there. Let the customer know what to expect from you.
You can finish the email with a small notification what they can expect for the next video and end with your personalized signature.

Delay the sending of the email
After clicking next, you get the notification for sending your email immediately or delayed. In this case, we choose delayed. That means that after they opt-in, the email is going to be send after 1 day. You can choose a specific time, here we are choosing 8:00 AM.
The next thing to do is, to start another email.

This is, for instance, an email about inviting your leads to book a call with you. So after inserting the text in the email, you have to link your booking link.

You can use the button Add booking link and you get a summary of all your inserted booking links.
The next step is to add your signature and click next.

We are going to send the email delayed again, this time you can, as example, send it after two days at 09:00 AM.

The third email is going to be a motivation email. This is about asking your customers a question.
After asking them the question, you are going to ask them to reply. The reason for this important step is that is additional engagement now.
If you want to learn more about additional engagement, you can signup for my weekly Q&A. It will give you clarity and time to learn every step, as I will guide you with every tech-related questions.

This email has a longer delay duration, as you can see. This time we are going to wait 3 days to send it and it’s at the specific time 8:25 AM.
We're going out on a limb here and guessing that you have at least some exposure to social media. You know, the next thing you want for your business is connecting with leads through these platforms; so you can write the next email just specifically to pitchall your socials.
You are going to open a new blank email.

After creating the fourth email, you can choose to delay it with for example two days.

Get a review for your product using an email
Lastly, we're going to give you an opportunity for your customer or lead's feedback on what they think about your product/service.

You can choose the option to connect to Google Reviews, and insert the link to your Google Business.

You can choose your delay time again, in this case you can choose , as example, 4 days.
Your first email campaign is finished!
